Weekly Schedule

Week Information
Assignments due in one week unless otherwise stated. I may add some things during the week, so double check the schedule each week!
Unit #6 The focus is on the web site project so nothing new this unit. I would like a status report!
Unit #5 I would like you to explore using a wiki, a blog and some other tool of your choice at a website. Do some research on how they can be used and write me a paper on the result of your findings. Set up an example of each.
Unit #4 I would like you to do some research on RSS feeds. I want you to examine how to create a RSS feed and how to make it easy for people to access things you created. I want you to also investigate www.pageflakes.com. You can see an example of my use of pageflakes at:

Your assignment to to put up an RSS feed I can access and to put up a pageflakes page I can access.
Unit #3 I need you to get me a proposal for your project!
I would like you to start working at ADA Web Accessibility Guidelines. I will be asking you to make a several pages on your project site with these guidelines in mind.

Unit #2 Keep researching DOM.
Assignments:
Your major project for this course is to develop a complete web site that could be or is used professionally. I would like you to send me a proposal of what you would like to do and I will comment, suggest and eventually approve a plan we develop together.
Keep working on DOM.
Unit #1 There are 10 units in the summer course to match the Fall and Spring semesters better, that means that there are several weeks where you need to do multiple units. I am getting up the first unit to start, later this week, I will put up the second unit.
This week, I want you to start looking at HTML DOM. I am giving you a reference to introduce yourself to the topic, I would like you to find references and tutorials and tell me what you find.

Assignments:
After doing research on good sources for information about HTML DOM, I want you to report back a couple of sites you found.
Write a page using 10 new things that you read about in your research. I want you to definitely include getElementById(), getElemenetsByName(), getElementsByTagName().
I would also like you to start working at ADA Web Accessibility Guidelines. I will be asking you to make a page this semester with these guidelines in mind. Let me know what you find.
