The final is due according to the plan we worked out in class – if you have questions, please contact me! It should be emailed to me at my usual home email address and to me at pgrocer@bristol.mass.edu Remember, this is an individual project and the only one you should discuss it with is me! The status sheet that will be posted is a requirement of the course and must be passed in at the same time.

Assume that the company you are currently working for or a company that you have worked for decides it is time to have a new system (if this is not possible, make up a company or use a company from the text – note you must use a different system than the one you used in the homework). Give a brief description of the company and what it does.

Describe in detail the steps you would take to analyze the system and design and implement a new system. You do not have to do the analysis or the design, you simply have to describe the process. Be sure you cover all aspects of the systems development life cycle.

This should be an in-depth description - you should explain the steps, the tools you would use, how you would use them and the information they will provide. Your answer should be thoughtful and detailed. For example when you describe implementing the system you should describe the methodology you would use when you first implement the system, the way you would handle requests for changes at the beginning and the way you would handle requests for changes a year later. Your answer should be multiple pages in length and should provide me with proof that you understood the material in the course.
